Governance in Practice

These self- or group-study units are designed to support governing boards to establish effective ways of collecting first-hand information and validating what they are told about their school. These are key functions of every governing body. These materials have been revised to support the Bradford Opportunity Area masterclass for new and aspiring headteachers in February 2020. The content focuses on key aspects of governance that are often viewed as areas for development. This are intended to stimulate conversation about how a board can operatively effectively. They are not the only way such functions can be fulfilled.
