We are excited to announce Exceed's partnership with Ambition Institute to deliver the Adaptive Teaching: Train the Trainer programme, starting March 2026.

The programme is designed to improve adaptive teaching in mainstream primary and secondary settings, supporting teachers to feel confident meeting the diverse needs of all pupils, including children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This Train the Trainer programme equips participants to lead professional development across your school, enabling them to:

• Embed adaptive teaching practices throughout your setting

• Develop a confident, highly skilled teaching team

• Apply evidence-informed strategies and practical tools immediately

• Use programme resources to enhance and improve current practice

By training staff in-house, your school can create a sustainable model of CPD that ensures lasting impact for both teachers and pupils.

About the Programme

This programme is designed for school-based senior and middle leaders who are responsible for improving teaching and learning and supporting classroom teachers to meet the needs of all pupils.

It is, first and foremost, a programme to enhance teaching & learning in classrooms.

Programme Overview

Adaptive Teaching: Train the Trainer is a “train-the-trainer” model designed to equip school leaders with the skills and confidence to deliver adaptive teaching training in their own settings.

You’ll gain:

• A deeper understanding of adaptive teaching as a professional domain.
• Practical tools, frameworks, and ready-to-use materials to design and deliver high-quality professional development.

How You’ll Learn

Delivered over three half terms (18 weeks), the programme includes:

📅 One in-person conference
Focused on adaptive teaching and designing impactful training for educators.
Date: Friday 13^th March 2026

🌇 Three twilight sessions
Interactive “sense-making” sessions to help you plan, deliver, and evaluate adaptive teaching CPD in your school.

Primary: 25^th March 2026, 2:30pm-3:45pm

Secondary: 26^th March 2026, 2:30pm-3:45pm

Twilight 2:

Primary: 22nd April 2026, 2:30pm-3:45pm

Secondary: 29^th April 2026,  2:30pm-3:45pm

Twilight 3:

Primary: 24^th June 2026, 2:30pm-3:45pm

Secondary: 9^th June 2026,  2:30pm-3:45pm
